The last set of blogs! Let’s get a round of applause and a sigh of relief in unison!
In the next two weeks, groups will finalize their projects, because the week after next, we will be presenting the Digital Hub 2.0 projects. That also means this class of closely grouped COM students will be coming to an end. (can we get a sad look from someone?)
Ike had us play the ever-so-popular “guess the salary” for a Senior Director of Social Media at The Ohio State University, which pays $110,000-$120,000….HOW?!
Anyway, the main topic of tonight was jobs. There are a few individuals in the class who are graduating this semester. Congratulations guys! Questions from students included how long to wait before checking back on a job you already applied for and is there a “too late” deadline when applying to a job. Looking for a job can super stressful! The questions asked were on point and were very warranted.
Ike also touches on how resumes and building a strong, but not overly embellished, resume is another key to landing that job! My resume is for sure under construction at this point!
So, here are the questions you all need to think about!
- Are you applying to jobs? If so, which keywords do you use to find these potential jobs?
- Are you graduating this semester?
- What do you think of this extra credit Ike has offered?
- What did you all think of our final feast?
- BONUS: What toppings would you like to have your pizza?
